Any deaths that you aren't required to handle personally are automatically moved.
Deaths that are automatically moved are transferred through the well of souls before reaching their destination, any you handle personally can include giving them a lift, in the cases of Reincarnation or just simply slicing them through, or having to take their hand and walk them to their door. It depends on their beliefs and varies widely over the ages.
