The poll should have an "incredibly awesome mind blowing epic chapter" option U_U

I didn't expect Sabo to eat the fruit so fast and I am not sure how I feel about him having the Mera Mera. Anyway, his disclosure scene was great. I also like the fact that he has a high rank in the revolutionaries, that makes it clear that he won't follow Luffy's path or crew, I like how he has a separate role in story.
Barto is so incredibly cute with his attitude xD
I think the birdcage plan evolves Law's room and DD string power to create a cage and then use both powers to annihilate the enemies. Seeing Law scared and not wanting to take of the shackles, maybe he is aware that DD will try to control him and use him against Luffy and co.
Badass Cyros cutting heads and shit with one leg.

Interesting theory. I was assuming Bird Cage was some sort of power from Doflamingo but that theory of yours somehow "tingles" my senses.

We still don't really know the exact scale of Doflamingo's fruit abilities. More than once has Oda made it so that despite a fruit having a main ability, from it, other seemingly unrelated ones exist. For example, Bartolomew's paw paw fruit. It has the ability to deliver powerful pushes...but it goes way beyond it in a direction most wouldn't relate. Perhaps Mingo's fruit has some sort of these "less direct" abilities, one of which is to completely control someone else. I say this because we've seen he can physical control someone else like a puppet with his strings but that doesn't exactly mean he can make them use their powers or that he can control their mind.

I also have a doubt about something...isn't one of his main lackeys missing? I get a feeling someone is missing from this whole thing.

exactly what i was thinking
only oda lol

i reckon doflamingo can control LAW and thats why law warned luffy about unlocking the shackles because he knows he will end up fighting luffy

and doffy said ''law....''

This chapter was too epic i don't even know where to start so i'll just say this.

Am i the only one who thinks Sabo looks a hell alot like Ace with that hairstyle? To me he seems to be like a mix of Ace and Sanji.

Of course there's a big possibility that DD can use his own power to go further with his plan and we haven't yet witnessed his full strength and abilities but the fact that he was talking to Law is what makes me wonder. Oda likes foreshadowing things and I feel like DD would use Law to hurt his friends just to punish him for his betrayal.
As for the string string powers, I don't think that DD can completely control a person or minds (in the part where he can force him/her to use the DF powers) but the thing Bart said back then made think.

There are certain fruit users (mostly paramecias) that use a move of their finger/body to activate their power. Like Bart, Law use his hand and finger to do it, so maybe that exact move is able to activate the power hence DD might be able to control those users DF. Farfetched but it's a possibility.
Since Luffy is missing more than one of their crew members (Sanji & co) it's very likely that DD has another trump card that hasn't appeared yet.

Catching up to this manga after a long time, man it was worth it.
Godlike chapter. The pacing was perfect (as always). Great action sequence at the colosseum.
5/5.

Question though.. is.. Is this the beginning of the end?

Is the manga starting to tie up its story threats?

Usopp is now officially a brave warrior of the sea AND a captain, no doubt about it.

Sabo has returned and is a direct connection to Dragon, whom is kind of.. a big deal having been build up ever since Lougetown, and him actually appearing in front of Luffy, would mean the end is near.

Supposedly, the time-skip were supposed to be the half-way mark of the entire manga.. and comparing in how much time has passed, we spend a lot of time at fishman island, punk hazard and Dress-rossa.. so erh.. guys.. I think Oda is beginning to pick up old introduced plot threads and round them off..

I think birdcage may be a way to control other devil fruit's powers. He could have used law's to save himself.

EDIT: Is anyone else thinking Usopp may leave the Straw Hats now?

Well he should be getting into the main story soon, but what you have to realize that what's left in OP could easily take 10 years

4 yonko
The revolutionaries
Final war
Ancient weapons
Void century
Raftel
The dream of each SH
Qnd so many more, it's a sure thing to say that it will just get better and better

Don't forget that we were introduced to Ace 400 chapters before he became the center of the story, Dragon probably won't meet Liffy yet, Sabo will just talk with Luffy

And I don't think Usopp achieved his dream, it's a big step for him but he's not there yet, there's still Elbaf etc

Not to mention that at least 3 of the 4 yonko deserve an entire arc which is about 4 yEars right there, the final war and the lead up to it could last years and there is still a lot like wano, zou, raftel, ...

Oda set up enough epic storylines to easily last for 10 years and that's without any more arcs like skypiea, fishman island, thriller bark etc
