Kishimoto also said some time ago that we would get development for the hyuga clan, and its clear from the looks of it, the revelation of Kaguya possesing Byakugan is merely the beginning of this development. Of course, it would only make logical sense for Hinata, the only relevant Hyuga character, to play a role in this development, especially with Neji no longer being around [unfortunately]. And when one considers her role as future clan leader, this further supports the idea.

Hell, this may very well be the reason lion fists has been delayed for all this time; its going to be used after Kaguya and Hinata’s meeting

There’s also the fact that Kaguya would be the perfect character to reveal this long awaited history of not only the hyuga but also the uzumaki clan, seeing her connection to the Byakugan and Uzumaki’s RDS. She could explain the creation of the cursed seal, jyuuken, the RDS, fuinjutsu, and other things related to the hyuga and uzumaki.

Maybe we will now more about Hyuugas, who knows. But Hinata would have to get the most drastic power up in this manga to be able to help. Besides, why would Kaguya want to talk to Hinata? Aside from Byakugan, they have nothing in common. Basically, Kaguya was the female version of Madara and Sasuke.

so i guess the hyuga defending the crap out of naruto and neji dying and hinata's TnJ was not this development or even a part of it since kishi hinted this hyuga development even before his last interview.

development =/= fighting as well, getting insight to the hyuga and their ways present and past is development

I don't dislike Hinata, but I feel her having a major role with all the crap that's been going on would just be unfitting.

What I wanna see is some team 7 action. Too bad Sakura didn't get a power up and Kakashi is blind/almost blind :\
