Why does Obito have the same staff as Naruto?

Don't think I've seen any thread about this, so I'll ask. According to the manga, Sasuke and Madara have the same staffs become they are both reincarnations of the same brother. Buth why do Naruto and Obito have the same staff? They never said Obito was the reincarnation of Ashura.

If Naruto and Sasuke both are recieving this power from the sage, is it safe to assume that both madara and obito met the sage and the sage for some reason granted them the same power?

Sage wouldn't grant Madara or Obito power, lol. It's more then likely of how they were able to ascend to the sage's level of power that gave them their staffs. As obito was fighting for control, he was thinking of his team and Rin and how much those memories meant to him, love allowed him to win control. Don't forget that Obito is exactly like Naruto, only difference is he chose the wrong path. Just a theory I heard and it makes sense to me.

Deep down Obito had the same ideals as Naruto/Ashura so that could be a reason why he has the same staff. Or because he is made up of part Hashirama cells who was once a reincarnation of Ashura.

Because the staffs do not represent the reincarnations. They represent the sun and the moon and all of the symbolism associated with each

The "Real" Obito is a Yang-type character. He is more likely to act than think, he makes decisions off of feelings, he is extroverted, he is the light to Kakashi's darkness (Light/dark does not mean good/evil), and he is ridiculously outward about his ambitions and everything in general.

Tobi is more of a Yin character, but that is a different story entirely =D

Yang = Sun

Yin = Moon

A yang dominant character I reason will acquire the sun staff, and a yin dominant will acquire the moon staff. It's based on their type of spirit I would say.

Because he was similar to naruto before he became corrupted by Madara
