Who should Tobi have been?

I'm none to crazy over Tobi's identity as Obito. I think it was just a tad bit too obvious, and that there really wasn't proper forshadowing for him. I think he should have been a character that appeared more than once before the Pain arc. I liked the idea of it being Danzo, but there are too many holes in that for the logic to work out. I was pulling for it to somehow be Izuna Uchiha. I think it would have made for a fantastic parallel to Sasuke (and we all know how much Kishi loves to double and triple character patterns), and it would have been a much better character moment for both him and Naruto. I also think it would have perfectly set up a Naruto vs. Sasuke battle that was intense and emotional.

Agree? Disagree? Like Obito? Why? Like someone else? Why?

That's funny because me and my friend also thought it would be Izuna Uchiha. We thought it made sense somehow lol. Boy were we wrong.

Obito = Worst choice. I think that he never should've been revealed. It adds more theories and when the series ends people keep wondering who it was. Like Red X in Teen Titans, he was never revealed, which bothers the hell out of me but it was a good choice.

OT: Obito was the best choice.

All that it said to me was that he was an Uchiha. Obito's plotline was beautiful and had ample closure as far as I was concerned, and I saw Kakashi Gaiden as character development for Kakashi, not bullshit retcons aimed at artificaily extending Naruto's storyline.

I think that it made the most sense too. I had pegged Tobi for lying about being Madara long before a lot of my friends, and I was certain it was Izuna. I never thought they'd **** up as bad as bringing back a dead man (though I'm noticing a trend with that mistake).

Why? I think it would have added to his mystique. And frankly, his identity was never really important. He could have just been the symbol for the Uchiha clan's wrath, and embodied their purely emotional style. It could have worked so well.

how was it not foreshadowed? lol i knew it was obito....but tbh there were some awesome theories. i kinda liked the future sasuke or the tobi clan ones^^ i also kinda thought i could be kagami...but i was neither suprised nor butthurt over the fact that it was obito and tbh i thought it was awesome.... only think it lacked imo was more details about how he convinced nagato etc(which kinda is shown in fillers/and the new game i guess..)

Lol the fact that kakashi was the one to notice the sharingan, is #1. The fact that tobi only has one right eye is #2.
