Sasori is probably the best written character. Every bit of screen time he had contributed to his character development, and his battle with Chiyo was a metaphorical stripping away of his various layers to reveal what's on the inside. Everything about that battle and his arc was symbolic and beautiful.

Can someone help me understand how Obito is a well written character? He's just a clone of Pain with some elements of Naruto sprinkled in there. I find him dull.

That's exactly what i am trying to say. All Obito has been doing after the mask was off, is shout what Pain said to Naruto and Rin Rin Rin when she never liked him. What even made me dislike him more is the fact starting a war and regretting it after 17 years. He lacks so many qualities, such as sinister backstory, personality, past emotion etc.

Though, he does have a lot of fans, so it doesn't matter if he gets the most vote. He is so lame and boring.
