His sage mode lasts only 5 seconds and you entirely assume that he can use ma and pa. He's admitted that he's never used sage mode in a battle before because he's not very good at using it.

Why would Minato want to destroy the cave if he has to keep Kabuto alive? He wouldn't be able to end Edo Tensei anyway considering that he'd have no way to get Kabuto to tell him what the necessary seals are.
