New dbz chapter!

So today, viz released the english version of this weeks issue of shonen jump. It contained the usual stuff like the new naruto chapter we just read. It also... contained a dragonball chapter called "Dragonball minus"

This chapter shows origin of goku's departure in space along with his parents.

This chapter is suppose to go hand in hand with Akira Toriyamas "Jaco, intergalactic patrolman" which is a short comedy manga he recently made. Now, Jaco is comical and is suppose to occur some time before the start of dragonball and is in the same universe. Because of its comedic style, its clear that this isn't likely suppose to be part of the dbz canon, however, this new dragonball chapter seems like it IS.

I know that in general this forum would discourage against posting a full chapter of a manga, but i haven't found a translation of the manga chapter available yet besides the viz version, so i bought it for all of your viewing pleasure.

If you don't want to read, by all means don't, or if you'd like to see the rest of the issue, i recommend purchasing the latest shonen jump volume.


Here we go, the latest installation of the dragonball manga in over 20 years (not counting comedic parodies or cameos like nekko majin)

There was a small section that was about the "jaco galactic patroman" manga in there that i omitted. So share with your friends. I liked it, I liked seeing sayians as having human qualities and I hope we see more.

I heard they might actually. After the buu saga of kai is finished, they might start a new manga series involving the "gods" etc.

People say "theres too much dbz" but the actual manga was crazy short and ended in the eighties. This is the first new REAL (non comical) manga page from dragonball since then
