the last chapter already confused my foggy interpretation. So two things are confusing me now:

1. The whole reincarnation thing..it made sense from a figurative point with the Will of Fire and Curse of Hatred etc., but I don't get it now that they're actually talking about it literally.

The whole migration stuff has got me confused. Where does this come in place?

and 2. The Rinnegan. My theory was that since the Hagoromo was the first person to be BORN with chakra, he obtained a power his mother didn't. But now that he says his mother was stronger than he was, the placement of the rinnegan has gotten me confused. So sharingan (Kaguya) > rinnegan (hagoromo) > sharingan again (indra). Kaguya was capable of using infinite tsukunjasda without being shinju's jinchuriki or having rinnegan, so why did Madara need it?

it just looks random to me at this point. I'm probably wording it badly, but my main two confusions are the rinnegan's origin and the reincarnation crap and how does that fit into the story.

Not sure what you mean. Indra and Ashura's chakra would pick a new host every generation to reincarnate into. Madara screwed this over when he insert Hashirama's cells into himself since Hashirama still had Ashura's chakra migration within him, leading to the Rikudo's chakra.

and 2. The Rinnegan. My theory was that since the Hagoromo was the first person to be BORN with chakra, he obtained a power his mother didn't. Kaguya was capable of the Infinite Tsukuyomi because she ate the fruit of the Shinju and then used her weird Sharingan. The only way for Madara to get to this power was by becoming the Juubi Jinchuuriki.

Reincarnation is for parallelism along with showing that the brother's conflict went from generation to generation.
For Rinnegan's origin, are you wondering why Hagoromo didn't get his mother's eye? For it's origin, simply put he inherited ocular powers but couldn't get that ghetto Sharingan eye since he hadn't ate the fruit but still had chakra inside him while he was born.
I put the stuff in bold. You may also want to check this of mine out.

The chakra from the sons went through the generations and chose people to be their successors, I guess. The migration is the moving of the chakra and the issue is Madara being too power hungry. Madara got the Rinnegan from mixing his Indra chakra and Ashura chakra from Hashirama DNA. I'm thinking Kaguya got her power from the Fruit which made her stronger than Hagoromo. It was never said she used infinite Tsuyomiki, it was said she used the Sharingan on people, not neccasrily infinite Tsuyomiki. And Madara wants to be the Juubi Jinchuuriki so they can summon the Shinju Tree. Rinnegan is a mix of Ashura and Indra chakra.

1. Because as they reincarnate, Ashura and Indra continue their brotherly fued(Will of Fire/Curse of Hatred) which lead to the whole war between Senju and the Uchiha, Madara and Hashirama. Then when they reincarnated into Naruto and Sasuke, their wills were inherited which is why Naruto is benevolent and Sasuke is hateful.

2. I made a thread giving the theory that Kaguya eventually became the Juubi since the fruit contained all of the Shinji's chakra. She gained Shinji's entire power from eating the fruit, and the original Shinji died. Then she eventually transformed into the new one.

Also her powers were split in two when she gave birth to her sons, which is why Hagoromo is not stronger than Kaguya. It took both sons to defeat the Juubi.

Pretty good.

Add just a few things. One, Kaguya didn't gain the Sharingan until consuming the fruit. Two Hagoromo's Juubi's son... Kaguya reached unparalleled fertility because of eating the fruit. It's the story from Genesis. The fruit/God cursed Eve with child birth. Three Hagoromo's eye's are the natural combination of the sharingan and byakugan.

thanks for the responses guys. Confusion's now pretty much cleared. I was thinking that the sharingan within shinju was just a regular sharingan, but the theory and the posts clear the confusion now. I understood the figurative point of view of the reincarnation - like the rivarly between Uchiha and Senju and whatnot, but I'm still quite confused on it when they're talking about it literally, a legit reincarnation (or correct me if I'm wrong). I don't see how that plays into the story with the ancestors' chakra migrating to different host..or perhaps it's just that I find it unnecessary. I understood the whole rivalry and the combination of the two equaling the rinnegan without the reincarnation story. But other than that, I'm good to go
