the 7th gate absolutely did nothing to madara for the most part gai tried to hit madara and missed the majority of strikes and the 2 that did land didnt even budge madara....what we do knw is ftg is instant and 7th gate gai and even 8th gate gai's speed isnt instant, so yes minato can

It takes demi-gods to chop off just his arms.
He lived from a stab through the heart (waaaaay bigger than sasuke's) by the nine tails and still being able to seal his chakra, kushina's, the foxes, while using the RDS without adding all the other jutsu usages all before he died.

Minato is durable as hell, Naruto got that from his father.
He's still fighting with no arms right now.

wrong naruto got his durability from his mother's lineage(Uzumaki)...but minato is durable as for reasons u have mentioned

minato would have to get close enough to place the seal on gai in order to teleport to him again. gai would be to fast to let that happen.

Minato has to react and cast ftg . There's a time frame where he is susceptible for attacks . That's the reason he's missing both of his arms afterall. Though Minato does have some of the greatest reaction feats in the manga. Don't think he on 8 gate speed level
