I have seen many threads with people who underestimate Madara.... I will explain to you what I believe!
First: Battle with Guy... Madara is on the defensive he has not attacked Gai(with effort) yet and when he tried a little bit Gai was saved by both Minato and Kakashi's kamui! If it weren't for them he would have been wiped out! He is testing his power and durability!! It is exactly the same thing that he did when he fought the Tailed Beasts!!
Second: I have seen some say that Madara will lose easily( we know that he will lose in the end) with the new power ups of Naruto and Sasuke but that is not possible! Because Naruto may have Tailed Beast Chakra from all the beasts and 50% Kurama+Sage Chakra+ SM+Ashura chakra and Sasuke has EMS+Susanoo+Indra Chakra+Sage Chakra but that won't be enough because Madara has EMS+Mokuton+Rinnegan+SM+Sage Chakra+Juubi(Almost all of it)! Madara has already the chakra of the Sage plus I believe that he is stronger than pre Jin Hangoromo and his old self! So whatever the Sage gives it would be a big power up but not enough! Don't forget also Madara's battle experience! It is too important! Also Madara has still 1 Rinnegan eye!! Guess what he could with two of them?
Third: I saw at a thread someone saying that at the end of Naruto we will have Naruto/Sauke >SM Rinnegan Madara which is not possible since Maddy has the Sage's chakra and Rinnegan and Naruto and Sasuke will never have them(the power ups are temporary). So when they have only 50% of the chakra of the Sage's sons they would not get to SM Rinnegan Madara's level even at the end!
