I wont be using pages for reference because my smartphone isnt that smart...
After going back and reading the last chapter, I realized something that may or may not hold some leverage. When Hogoromo was referring to sasuke, he didnt call him "sasuke" he simply called him "indra's reincarnation" . Whilst speaking to Naruto he called him naruto on numerous occasions thus sgowing a certain level of mutual respect (imo) . Could it be possible that Sasuke believes in Indra's/Kaguya's way ? Maybe sasuke heard the story and agrees that kaguya and indra had the correct way of achieving peace ,which, when u think about it, isnt necessarily a "bad" way .
It seems to be a cycle. No matter what happens....even after indra"s reincarnations r swayed back to ashura's side (as shown with madara and hashirama) , indra always seems to feel that remorse and hate towards that way of achieving peace. Since Indra has manifested himself in sasuke, its pretty clear cut that Sasuke will be have this same rebellion even if accepted back to konoha...why? Becaue the villagers want Naruto and respect Naruto. They respect Sasuke's power...but dont trust him nor do they condone in his past choices. They wont be able to put their faith in sasuke and wont allow someone with such evil in their heart to lead them.
So the scenarios may vary. The cycle can continue with sasuke being accepted back into the village on a whim....with the villagers praising Naruto and being iffy about sasuke, thus leading him to resort to force to get the hokage seat. Or Naruto may step aside and allow Sasuke to take over (knowing the history of the sons and how hogoramo's decision led indra to rebel against the people) . But even if Naruto steps aside, the villagers still hold malice toward Sasuke as a traitor and just like with Madara back then ,wont be able to lead a group that doesnt respect him . (Remember the uchiha that wanted peace turned their backs on madara ,who wanted to keep fighting the senju) . Either way....Sasuke will try to enforce Indra's ideals , especially after hearing the history .
In my mind ,Sasuke believes had the sage just chose the elder son, none of this would have happened. Therefore I believe he will accept his destiny and try to rule by force and power...not by example and unity .
