It's just logic, I don't need manga proof. It's scientific fact that sound reverberates in an enclosed space and we know that the cave was dark, so the blinding white light starkly contrasted with it.

Science doesn't work in fictional manga. Also, it would mean if Madara was far away, and EMS Madara is close range. White Rage would still work.
