He meant "becoming Hokage and achieving peace", not "To become stronger". You can't achieve peace easily even if you are strong. Obito was taking a shortcut, trying to put everyone in a genjutsu world, that's why Naruto felt that Obito took the easy way and didn't face reality, which is the hard way... Don't get confused.

Sasuke stopped training at start of shippuuden because he was already around low kage tier, so he then just kept getting more and more powerups.
Naruto basically stopped training after pein arc. After that it was power up after powerup. First KCM, then BM, then BSM now this.

It basically goes like this;
Naruto: Born with a fox -> KCM -> BM -> BSM -> This new shit
Sasuke: born with a sharingan -> Cursed mark -> MS -> EMS -> this new shit

Otherwise without the "asspull" Madara wins, everyone loses, and we wasted our time reading/watching this series as it progressed and lead up to nothing. But no, you're right. They shouldn't get any power ups and everyone should lose and go into the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Madara should just win and everything leading up to this fight should be for absolutely nothing.

Uchiha's are not BORN with Sharingan, it has to be AWAKENED v_v and even so not EVERY Uchiha gets Sharingan v_v

I agree that that would be rad, but this is definitely not that series and I doubt Shonen Jump would have one of those.

Actually, the only anime/manga off the top of my head that I can think of where the villain kinda wins (and he's barely a villain, more like a modern day Hitler) was Death Note. But even in the end the "villain" is beat.
