Hello guys again how is you doing? I was bored today so I needed sometyhing to do and I ended up creating such a list and its the 3rd one lol. So far I've discussed how Rukia and Byakuya are Psychopaths. Now it’s time to consider whether Kira, too, has (suppressed) psychopathic tendencies. Just consider the following!

1. His sword power.

Kira’s sword power is, in a word, creepy. It’s entire aim is to force the other person to grovel on the ground before you, unable to lift their weapon, and then be beheaded. Not only is that a cold ****ing way to kill someone, but it’s also deeply humiliating. Who wants to be killed while groveling? Nobody! Yet that is what Kira’s power, born out of his soul, wants you to do.

2. His delight in explaining his sword power.

And not only does Kira have that creepy-ass power, but he also really, really likes to talk about it. In every fight Kira has ever had, he explains how his sword doubles the weight of whatever it strikes, only in more detail than that. Now, explaining one’s power isn’t particularly unusual among soul reapers, but Kira seems to take a special pleasure in it - and you know who explains their powers and intentions at great length? Super villians.

3. His dead, dead eyes.

Now, I don’t mean to be judgmental here. Kira’s eyes may be void of any feeling, but I don’t think that’s really his fault. Young Kira had eyes full of hope and promise. And then Gin happened. So if Kira has any psychopathic tendencies, then I do believe they were largely made, not born. And Kira’s eyes are a sign - they show you the exact moment that Kira lost the ability to really feel anything.

4. No red flags with Gin.

Speaking of Gin, how weird is it that Kira didn’t realize that Gin was, well, evil? Up to the point that Gin left Soul Society with Aizen, Kira apparently believed that everything they were doing together was legit. Including leading Matsumoto and Hitsugaya away from the slaughtered bodies of Central-46 and then straight-up attacking Matsumoto. I get being loyal to one’s captain, but didn’t Kira at any point think something was wrong? Or were murder, lies, and betrayal just something that felt really natural to him?

5. Good at identifying screams.

When Hinamori finds Aizen’s body, she starts screaming. And the other lieutenants, from afar, hear her. And Kira immediately says, “Hinamori!” Now, this may be nothing, but I’m just wondering - why is Kira so good at identifying screams?

6. Cuts Abirama for mentioning Gin.

But it’s in the fight with Abirama that Kira’s real psychopathic side comes out. I mean, he straight up slashes Abirama just for mentioning Gin’s name. Being sensitive about Gin makes total sense, of course, but that’s quite a, um, violent reaction, Kira.

7. The way he kills Abirama.

And then there’s the whole part where Kira forces Abirama to kneel, explains how his sword works (super-villain style) and then beheads him. It’s one of the most shocking and brutal deaths in Bleach, in my opinion. Seriously, Kira is straight-up scary in that scene.

8. Knocks out Yumichika for trying to help Ikkaku.

This is a little thing, perhaps, but there’s also the moment that Yumichika realizes that Ikkaku is in trouble and tries to go help him. Hisagi holds him back, citing responsibilities, and Kira….knocks him out. A good move, I suppose, but still rather frightening, given the way Kira just acted with Abirama. Kira moves really, really quickly to violence, even with his friends.

9. Bluffing with Kazeshini.

This is from a filler arc, but all that means is that the writers of Bleach agree with me. Remember during the embodied zanpakuto arc, when Kira is fighting Kazeshini? Kira doesn’t actually have his shikai back, but he acts so scary and bluffs so well that he rattles Kazeshini and gets an opening. Or, to put it another way, he out-psychopaths Hisagi’s inner psychopath.

10. Believes that battle should be dark, terrifying, and full of despair.

This is Kira’s battle philosophy, as he tells Abirama. Now, on the one hand, this is a particularly un-psychopathic thing to say, as Kira is explaining why enjoying battle is nuts. On the other hand, it is pretty representative of how dark and scary the world is to Kira - which perhaps explains why that guy can be so dark and scary himself.

Very interesting and detailed analysis.
Thanks Sir Blades :p

If this was death note, i would say: What do you mean, Closet?

Unfortunately it isn't, so i'm sad now.

Very good theory.

Well like a closet pervert meaning not admitiing openely that he's a pervert but in this case Kira would never admit that he's a psycho which makes him a closet one... anyway thanks.... btw I had no idea that was a 44 version of ya
