How did madara think he could suceed?

Madara's plans were like this:
Brainwash a random half dead kid, hope he has awesome powers.
Make that kid collect the Bijuu.
Have Nagato revive him with Rinne Tensei
Become Juubi Jinchuriki
Eye of the moon.

However, there are two flaws in the plan. The first one is that he had no way of knowing obito would have awesome powers.
The second one, is that when he is revived, He will be blind, Old, and facing down the most powerfull being in all creation.
Not exactly a good position for him to be in.

He wouldnt be as powerfull as Revived Madara was in the War arc, because Kabuto had given him Tons of Senju DNA, Enough to make him > his prime, since Kabuto's edos aren't at full power.

Well....I believe the same way any normal person would think something benefiting them would come to fruition...? Madara was required for the story, and Kabuto or not ...Kishi would have brought him back somehow. I personally believe the whole Kabuto/Edo part of the story was made just for Madara more than anyone else.

In the end though.... Madara has gotten revived, become the Jin, defeated Hashirama etc. Except IT and his eye....majority of his plans have succeeded.

Though.... nao I'm leaning more toward IT will not happen... but I believe....very much believe he will get his eye....and another eye also. >_O

the war , not inc. in madara's original plane , is unexpected . I think he intended to let the flower bloom and catch everyone in genjutsu unbeknownst to the majority of ppl in NV . Obito somehow started the war just to lure 8/9 tails out and capture them.

another flaw would be that madara would need his rinnegans , which were possessed by nagato , whom madara has to either convince him to return those eyes or take them back by force . This won't be easy too imo.

btw do you think madara's original plan inc. a random little kid ? Obito meeting madara is pure coincidence . if that's the case then madara would've formulated this plan after he met obito.

Well....Madara did not plan on Edo....it was someone else's plan. Madaras plan was to be revived back to life....in which he succeeded. Though him being summoned as an Edo was chance.... it wasn't his intended plan to be revived that way. Just saying....

I agree... This past arc of war was so loosely tied together it's very frustrating for somebody who has been with the series since the early days of release for it to become such a "bleach-esque" whatever kind of structure..

Without Obito, how could his plan have succeeded? Nagato revives madara. He is now blind, Old, In a cave, and needs to track down 9 of the most powerful creatures in the world, before he dies of old age again.

So that gives him a life expectancy of about 3 minutes.

He could still have created BZ via COAT and let BZ play obito's role to initiate Akatsuki
BZ could persuade nagato to carry out madara's plan , inc the capturing of the beasts
hopefully , nagato would be persuaded to revive the juubi and madara . he could still have abosrbed juubi and become a jin that would be in a weakened state due to the absence of hashi senjutsu chakra. He could have done the absorption in 3 minutes.

still , no matter how one argues about it , the plan itself carries a lot of risk and uncertainty , hence not much of a good plan

i can never understand the powerscaling of endo tensei...the four hokages were reanimated with hashirama's dna and toribama even told orochimaru that he brought them back essentially at full power, but after they were pawned in battle then they are said to have been reanimated at lower power because of the endo tensei

After watching today's episode and reading previous chapters, I came to conclusion that Madara had insurance for his Tsukuyomi on me. People claim that if Kabuto didn't revive Madara, then its over him, however that is incorrect as I will show you how.

We know Madara severed his limb from Gedo Mazo which resulted his death. Do you honestly think Madara will just leave everything for a 14 year old boy without at least leaving something behind. Madara is a intelligent guy, so he will do everything to make sure he revives himself. What is the insurance Madara had left behind after his death?

Black Zetsu would be the trump card for Madara's revival. Black Zetsu is Madara's will, so it will kill anyone who stands on the plan's way. Its other purpose is in case Obito decides to betray Madara as he did in chapter 614, then it will merge with anyone who has Rinnegan forcing them to revive Madara through Rinne Tensie in which it would look like this:

So in the end of the day, if Kabuto didn't revive Madara, then black Zetsu merges with any Rinnegan to revive Madara instead. So he had a plan.
