Tsunade didn't have the Yin Seal at the same age, this means that Sakura, by the time she's Tsunade's age, has already surpassed her for sure.
In a way she did it already, its only a matter of time until she becomes overall better.
In other words, no. Its not like this is a very important aspect of the manga anyway.

Well just like Naruto and Minato with regards to rasengan; Minato had to think of a technique and master it. Tsunade created the yin seal/ strength of 100. Sakura learning it at her age is absent the time, energy, trial and error Tsunade went through to create the jutsu.

While Naruto has made the rasengan his own with the Odama and Rasenshuriken. Sakura is still a copy of her master.

So yes, it is possible theoretically, that she would improve if Tsunade died. While were at this it seems like this is a major motif of the story.

You provided some good points, I agree with you to some extent. However, I cant visualize Tsunade dying during the manga's final phase . In regards to Sakura, I don't believe Tsunade has to die in order for the pinkette to surpass her; Sakura will have her time to shine...hopefully soon.

P.S @ the OT Tsunade did not heal shikamaru with a tap to the head. Shikamaru was already healed, she replenished his chakra. Which is still impressive, she came in like a boss and filled his tank up in like no time.

You're right, "still". Time being the key word.
But how will we see Sakura doing something else at this point? :/ She's been turned into an healing machine.
The only possibility i can think of is a flashforward at the end of the manga mentioning, for example, how she became a genjutsu master or developed her medical ninjutsu even further.
And don't forget that Sakura surpassing Tsunade shouldn't be taken too literally. Creating her Seal earlier and augmenting her strenght even more can be a way of surpassing, just like how she's portrayed as an equal to Naruto and Sasuke (its obviously not just about who can create the biggest explosion from far away).

Nope, Sakura is already quite close to Tsunade when it comes to overall power, so I dont think that Tsuandes death is necessary.

They seem pretty even when it comes to medical ninjutsu sakura having the advantage considering she mastered tsunada's jutsu at a early age and she has been storing chakra in her forehead since she was fourteen tsunada was burying her brother at that time in her life but i also think her tiajutsu is better i mean she has been training under kakashi the second greatest ANBU member behide itachi so she has to have great close combat skills in my opinion

She is technically dead now, seeing as how all the odds are against her at the momment. With no chakra left lol. She is restricted from soloing. But Sakura need someone to acknowledge her power, her master would be perfect for that. No one is really team Sakura but Tsunade and Ino, Naruto don't really count, but Sakura is the type who craves to acknowledgment of those she idolized, once she surpassed them

Sakura needs Tsunade alive. Tsunade's acknowledgment of Sakura's skill is the only thing relevant, everyone else' opinion is jack squat.

All Tsunade death dose is leave an opening for Hokage and makes the Senju an extinct Clan. Sakura has not learn all the jutsu that Tsunade has nor has She the Chakra reserves to mach Tsunade. She will always be a Mini Tsunade not a full replacement.
