Hey guys,

After re-reading the chapter i was stuck on the following page :

You must be registered for see images

After looking at the color page of Naruto + Hagoromo + Sasuke i noticed the following parallels:

Naruto's statue has : 6 Hands
The rings on the ''Sun'' side of the stick are also numbering at 6

Hagoromo was known as ''The Sage of the 6 Paths''

You can also look at the list of Indra and Ashura [including their reincarnations] :

Indra was born first : 1
Ashura was born second second: 2
Madara [Older Brother]: 3
Hashirama [Younger Brother]: 4
Sasuke [who is actually older than Naruto also] : 5
Naruto : 6

Naruto's Statue is also doing some ''different'' hand symbols

I will speak on main 2:

Namaskara :
You must be registered for see images
- This is a greeting and is expressed in a form of prayer coming from one's heart or the third eye....i will repeat that THIRD EYE.

The Namaskara Mudra can be expressed with palms at the heart level or at the forehead. Why? Because only with the heart, or with a deeper spiritual insight (third eye) can one truly see that we are all expressions of the same light.

This is quite similar to Hagoromo's AND Naruto's wish for everyone to understand each other

Pretty coincidental considering Hagoromo has a ''Third'' eye

[possible foreshadow for Naruto to gain this ability?, or third eye Hagoromo has]

The Sage is also performing some hand symbols

I will start with his left hand :

Left Hand: Varada Mudra :
You must be registered for see images
- Varada Mudra expresses the energy of compassion, liberation and an offering of acceptance. This mudra is made with the left hand

Liberation?, Offering of Acceptance, once again very coincidental that this is on Hagoromo's LEFT HAND and close to Sasuke, [i will briefly explain at the end why i believe so]

Right Hand: Karana Mudra :
You must be registered for see images
- Karana mudra expresses a very powerful energy with which negative energy is expelled. This hand gesture is also called warding off the evil

Expelling negative energy? warding off evil? once AGAIN very coincidental that this is on the RIGHT hand of the sage and is next to Naruto, especially as Naruto has LITERALLY expelled his ''evil'' self and hatred [at the Waterfall of Truth]

Makes you think about what this means for their power ups

Also looking at the traits associated with the hand symbols

Naruto's potential THIRD EYE will aid in ushering in peace, Sasuke will break this cycle of hatred via self liberation and acceptance.

[all after handing Madara a new one]

What do you think?

I get what you're saying.
To be honest, I didn't give the image much thought at first.
After reading this though, I dunno. Guess we will have to wait and see.
It can all be just a coincidence

But when you realise it is not fan art, and art Kishi put together and had coloured , it makes you think

Ohh that's cool, but I don't like the idea of Naruto getting a "third eye" lol. Sounds weird XD

Kishi never ceases to amaze me with the amount of mythology he incorporates into his work. One of the reasons why I love Naruto so much.

Nice find.

Hago's hand seals on that page were hard to notice , your explanation for those seals fits well the story , it seems plausible , good work.

I also bugged a lot on that picture and Page 16.

P16's guy is the perfect mix of the 2 guys behind Naruto and Sasuke , look carefully at their eyes.

The guy behind Sasuke have the exact same curve of face as Kaguya , her very long hair ( put in a bun , like shiva ) , her 3rd eye...

Shiva's statue in Bangalore have similarities with the guy behind Sasuke.
Third eye , half moon, hair in a bun , he holds a "trishul" and a "damaru" , his 4 arms remind me Susano'o in the manga , snakes ( Hakuja senin , sasuke ) , women curve of face...

Nice Theory, but can you explain the symbolism of Sasuke's Statue ?
Well, it's almost certain that the statue behind Sasuke represent Indra or if you want Taishakuten. I say that because of the thing he is holding in his hand ( I am still trying to find what exactly that can be ) and Taishakuten indeed wields thunderbolt ( right hand ). They also have the same hairstyle if you ask me( I mean the statue and the real Taishakuten ). And guess what, Taishakuten in Japan is a God of war, storms and thunder. What was the main Sasuke technique?

And about the statue behind Naruto... I wouldn't say that the statue completely represent only Asura, but it's rather combination of Asura and Bonten as well.

OT: Love the part with Hagoromo's hands. :)
