- No he simply didn't want "konoha" ninja being involved in it..its a good political scheme to have an uchiha kill the uchiha.. why risk your own people?
- no he was a mere bump on the road.. the akatsuki would have demolished Itachi if they wanted.. however, Obito used itachi.. so you must remember that also.
- Yea with the help of 2 people who were stronger than him..
- Nope sadly nope. Both of the times he was caught off guard.
- He got used.. he was a child.. not blaming him... his thinking wasn't that open, but restricted to the village.
If konoha ninja were involved it would have been a war. Itachi was the only choice. The only choice.
A bump? Yes perhaps to the entirety of the akatsuki, but Obito isn't the entire akatsuki. And by the time he part 1 of Naruto comes around, If the akatsuki tried to take Itachi down a good portion of them would die. But they never all congregate anyways, so Itachi could take on any two man team easily. The only ones that would really be able to oppose Itachi would be Nagato and Obito and the outcome of that is arguable. Obito is definitely afraid, that is quite clear. Obito doesn't care about his word, he didn't attack Konoha because he was afraid Itachi would kill him if he did. That's why he waited til he was dead.
2 people stronger than him? In ninjutsu and taijutsu, yes they are stronger. But Itachi is definitely stronger when it comes to weapons and genjutsu, and Itachi has the strongest weapons in existence that we know of. And they clearly aren't as smart as Itachi. In overall strength, Itachi has more and would beat them both 1vs1. Also If it weren't for Itachi Bee and Naruto would have died multiple times in that fight, just sayin.
Well, so much for that cautious that you said he was. Also IIRC the first time Orochimaru was trying a sort of sneak attack on Itachi (or tried to get Itachi when he wasn't paying attention, totally his fault there). The second time he started to talk and got stabbed in the chest. He wasn't cautious. He was afraid. He was so afraid that he didn't pursue Itachi anymore and went after the weaker Uchiha. He knew he couldn't beat him, he was afraid.
He got used yes, but he knew he was getting used and he knew the consequences of him being used. He let himself be used because it would protect the world from war (yes world. He knew a konoha civil war would entice enemies into attacking konoha and starting a full out war with konoha and thus konoha's allies and what not), and he viewed being used as worth it. It wasn't the innocence of a child or anything.
