...That I haven't seen that many threads concerning the fact that Kaguya had the Byakugan. I mean she is practically the founder of chakra or at least the use of it and the first known wielder of the Byakugan, so that means the Hyuuga must actually be THE original clan. So maybe Hinata still could showcase some new abilities, what do you think?

Her clan is Ootsutsuki. This means that the Hyuga derive from the Ootsutsuki. It is likely that they originate from the Hagoromo's Brother.

I'm guessing her third eye comes from the God Tree's fruit. As the Juubi also has this eye. Hagoromo does not have this eye which leads me to believe that this is unique to the eater of the fruit. Hagoromo instead having some design drawn on his head... rather Uzumaki-like.


As for Hinata... hard to say. I'd expect more "participation" than actual power boosts. And her participation likely be at best her capitalizing on an opening made for her rather than her own action.. especially with how Kishi treats the other K11.

Well the first problem is that Kaguya is described as "like Madara" implying she went power mad.

The second problem is Neji's corpse shouldn't exist... His body should have been annihilated by the Thunder Tempest storm or Obito's Bijuudama Bananza.

Its not out of the realm of possibility that Kaguya lied to his sons about her true nature. SHe wasnt the nicest person after all, so I can totally see her lying to her kids about how she got her power. I mean, the Byakugan hasn't been associated with the juubi at all aside from obito's war mask. So I don't see it fitting to having fome from her. I think it may he her alien races eyes

Obvious foreshadowing of what? RDS didnt even give that statement 2 seconds before moving on to the sharigan, Naruto didnt question it either. Like yeah whatever moving on.

Incorrect. See here's the deal; both Neji and Gai are basically superior versions of Hinata and Lee , correct? So, would it make sense to have H or L to do anything major while the superior ones (Neji and Gai) are still around? No it would not. Neji was killed off, Gai is being killed off, obviously to give room for Hinata and alee to get more recognition.

And kishi has actually favored Hinata over Neji throughout oart2 in terms of development.

Its laughable, your statement of Hinata being done, as not only has this been said and proven wrong many times before, but the mere fact that she still has a new jutsu to show garuntees she'll continue fighting.

I wouldn't say foreshadowing. Kishimoto said we'd learn more about the Byakugan and it helps explain the Sharingan and their connection. Kaguya simply ties up loose ends regarding the bloodlines and tree.

The Hyuga being my fav clan though makes me a bit extra proud today!

if it was merely about tying loose ends, it would make more sense to have given it to the second sage rather than Kaguya herself. I think the confirmation of Kaguya having Byakugan holds a decent amount of weight in foreshadowing hinata's role

I hope so! The girls in Naruto need some kind of respect! Hinata came so close and then got humiliated in that last panel we saw her. No one takes her seriously now. Kishimoto had to have done it on purpose or he wouldn't have drawn it, and not to make her look like a fool either.

Right but Neji was so superior to Hinata, she will never surpass him, not with the time left in the manga.

Kaguya is RDS's mother. I never said it was never going to be brought up again just that its not going to change the plot or have any effect, with the way Naruto and RDS's convo went.
