Byakagan: Watch over all that is Ninshuu (Hence the 360 vision of chakra)

Rinnegan: Teach all and obtain all knowledge on ninshuu

Sharingan: Weaponized Ninshuu for destruction

I've said it before, byakugan is pre-chakra era, or alien. It's actually rather perfect for Taijutsu, we all know that of course. Sharingan (Juubi influenced). Rinnegan, combined form of Sharingan and Byakugan. In fact, the manga supports this considering Kaguya had both and the sage had something new.
