So I guess kakashi was wrong and everyone els too.
The byakugan was formed together with the sharingan at the mother of the so6p.

This allso means the byakugan was a doujutsu formed even before the rinnegan,
things are getting quit interesting right here.

That is also what I get from this page. The original Sharingan/Rinnegan crossover came from the Shinju/God-Tree. Kaguya consumed the fruit, stole the power from the Shinju and was "blessed" with the Third Eye.

The "true" Rinnegan of the Sage seems like a cleansed version of the original eye his mother and Shinju had. Indra got then what you could call the reversed Version a pure Sharingan.

in 646, Madara stated that everybody knew the fruit held power because they knew about the tree. Kaguya was just the one person who took it upon herself to be the one to eat it.

Not sure if she also had a sharingan on her forehead (which seems so, as she had it closed)
after eating the fruit her sharingan evolved to a rinnegan and combined with Byakugan/her chakra turned into a 9 tomoe sharingan

It depends on the above statements...

If Kaguya Ōtsutsuki only had Byakugan at first, so Hyugas are pure Kaguya clan members, with no mixed chakra from the Juubi.

If Kaguya Ōtsutsuki also had Sharingan on Forehead before the fruit or had none of them, so all eyes and their evolutions are based on Juubi's chakra interacting with her, and all are related.

But based on the whole history, I stay with the first statement.

looking at what the sage said about his mother coming from a far away place, and how he worded that .... on top of........ having the byakugan, she also has the sharingan, would suggest that she already had the byakugan, and gained the sharingan as a result of eating the fruit.

there is a chance that she had the byakugan before, but don't you need chakra to use the eye? if there was no chakra the eye would be useless. if chakra doesn't control the eye, like sharingan, then still half of it's usefulness would have been diminished before people had chakra.

The third eye is a third "set" of eyes is the rennin.

SO6P is uchiha and senju
His brother is I think just Hyugga
So im guessing that uchuha chakra or genetics are reactive to the fruits power.

Assuming tyat the sages brother was able to fight on par with him ans he only had byakugan, this really changes the game. That means byakugan = rennin.
