[Spoilers] The way to unlock the Rinnegan

This latest chapter proves that you don't need Senju and Uchiha DNA to unlock the Rinnegan. You need Hashirama and/or Madara's chakra to do so. For example, you can't take Tsunade and Itachi's DNA and unlock the Rinnegan. You don't need DNA, all you need is the chakra of Hagoromo's sons, which Hashirama and Madara once possessed. What bothers me about this is, what if Naruto and Sasuke get each other's chakras? As we all know, they are the current reincarnations, so if they can get a portion of each other's chakra, then both of them should be able to unlock the Rinnegan, though I don't think that they're going to get it, perhaps Sasuke's new Doujutsu will be Indra's eyes. Thoughts?

you're quite a bit wrong there. you do not need Hashirama and Madara dna...
you're gonna need the dna from both persons who Indra & Ashura is posessing...

so don't forget that if Sasuke gets some Naruto DNA... he will also get rinnegan

Heh yeah, didn't think about it really, it will be kinda sick to see them both wielding the Rinnegan next chapter, though it will be boring if they don't use it like Nagato did.

Probably not. The Rinnegan is probably the reaction of the Sharingan to the Hagoromo lineage chackra (Ashura + Indra).
It would be stupid if it wasn't, as there will be no physiological trait to support the change.

remember sasuke is being pumped with hashirama cells and got hashirama chakra from the edo and now even gets some chakra from so6p and as we are told he is a reincarnation already so he will have rinegan as he has all the ingredients. as for naruto i dont know maybe he will get byakugan,the real byakugan.. which uses ninjutsu and not jus taijutsu which in my opinion is ultimate than rinegan coz\ the god mother had it. he doesnt have madaras, sasuke... jus maybe get something from obito. coz i believe after madara obito was next reincarnation then now sasuke.

Actually the sage only shares his dojutsu with sasuke, stating that he neglected indra. I assume he is giving naruto some other power that isnt Rinnegan. Plus if both of them had it, wouldnt that be a bore since they will probably get new powers/skills that will be similiar if not exactly the same as each others?

Moreover, Hagoromo possessed the Sharingan which reacted to his chacka, 'evolving' into Rinnegan, which is more of a reaction than a sucession/evolution as proposed by Kabuto and Orochimaru.

That's a good point, though for Sasuke you forget one thing, he already has naruto's chakra. When Naruto gave him a chakra cloak, that cloak had his chakra combined with Kurama's so indirectly he got Naruto's chakra and thus rinnegan is on its way.

If read carefully, Sasuke isn't getting a Rinnegan but Indra eye's.. the most Powerfull Sharingan. SOP said Madara spoil the "Transmigration Process" meaning before Indra transmigration over or completed to him. Due to that Madara couldn't get full potential of Indra power, this also proof why Madara always lost to Hashirama. SOP also said, he will transfer all Indra power to Sasuke.. So EMS doesn't the final version of Sharingan, Indra eye's was a final version... 673 or 674 would shown the eye's....

does that mean he needs hagoromo and his brother power to gain kaguya power?
or simply eat the fruit?
