How do the brothers have two souls each on the battlefield at the same time?

I'm pretty positive Edo Tensei revives the soul. So they both are still Ashura and Indra. Yet...so are Sasuke and Naruto. Does transmigration allow for two copies of the same soul to exist? How is this possible?

No. Indra and Asyura transmigration was over after the battle of the valley of the end. Madara was lucky that he awaken his rinnegan before Indra chakra transmigration was over for him and find a new host that ends up being Sasuke as the new Indra's reincarnation.

So the chakra of the two brothers left Madz and Hashi before they died? Completely forgot about Madara's transmigration ending.

But they are both revived today. Isn't that how Edo Tensei works, by resurrecting the soul into a host body? Wouldn't that soul be the same as Naruto and Sasuke's if they have the souls of the brothers? Or do they just have their chakra? Or am I missing something.

Well to put it simply has hi and made should came back but not ashura and Indra who moved on to naruto and sasuke
