So as we have discovered in Naruto Chapter 671 the mother of the SO6P did indeed have tue Byakugan as well as the Sharingan.

Kishi has done well to finally explain the source of the Hyuuga clan as it seemed he had neglected this for such a long time.

Now where is the Hyuga's strong chakra/Large chakra pool inherited from the sages mother. Unless kishi simply didn't care enough to have them inherit anything from the Sages mother apart from her Eyes.

I think Haruno clan was just some random.

I can understand now why Kishi has said in the past that Hinata should have been the third member of Team 7. Plotwise and historically wise it would have made perfect sense.

However with the addition of a Hyuuga Team 7 would have been too OP considering the other remaining members were the reincarnations of Indra an Ashura.

So some random chick with an inability to decide who she in love with was used instead.

It was even said in the manga that mother evil strength came from her use of the sharigan.

It would be awesome if Hinata was in team 7, since its also the main team of the manga.

Naruto will have Ashura's chakra
Sasuke will have Indra's eyes
Hinata will have Kaguya's eyes

And instead of Tsunade mentoring Sakura, there was some Hyuuga mentoring Hinata.
Some Byakugan genius like 5x stronger than Neji + Hinata as the Hokage...damn OP Hokage =D

So far Sakura's only demonstrated the ability to count to 6 (See Pain arc, she says "6 tails, that's more than last time"). She hasn't demonstrated anything else and is basically just a plot device.

Hinata's alright but not strong enough yet to live up to Kaguya and Sakura is not strong enough to live up to being the heroine she was meant to be. Both being female get treated that way as is the pattern of the lovely ladies of Naruto. This manga was meant more for males despite us females who also enjoy reading it.

In the end, Neji gets truly honored for being related to her.

Hinata has some of Kaguya's powers(Byakugan), comes from an elite Hyuuga clan and advanced/high technique fighting style, whereas
Sakura doesnt have any powers related to kaguya, comes from some fodder Haruno clan, has a simple brawler fighting style. And healing, yeah.
