It's the way you combine your abilities to make up for certain lackings in other teammates abilities that makes the 4 man team possible.

You don't need the most OP ninja to win, you just need to choose ninja that will have no holes in their offense and defense when they fight. Of course having minato and itachi on your team would also be helpful too.
