This is a misconception. Hogoromo and his brother faced a fully powered fully Complete Juubi. Madara faced 8 seperate entities (bijuu) and half of a Kurama. all of which are lesser then the whole to some extent.

Hogoromo faced Juubi. Madara did not.

This stupidity has gone beyond my knowledge. No such thing as separate Juubi. There was, is and always Juubi and that is when all 9 Bijuu formed combined.

9 Bijuu defeated, then sealed together as Juubi, then Juubi is defeated by Madara through sealing inside himself. That's what Kishimoto has shown. He showed that Madara is much more powerful than Hagoromo.

False. You say people are stupid for saying sage > madara when it is more than likely true. The Sages feats alone are much greater than madaras. Madara beat the bijuu by himself, big whoop, the sage created those bijuu, and could have easily defeated them. Hell, the first time Naruto went into bijuu mode he took on 6 bijuu at once...and that was with only half of kuramas chakra.
