He can spit out a snake, cut it in half, and use it. It doesn't have to be your blood to perform a summoning. Orochimaru can do everything Sasuke could do with his techniques, Itachi even stated, "that's a jutsu straight out of Orochimaru's arsenal" he can do every single variation, Sasuke must've gotten it from somewhere. I said he DOESN'T need Orochimaru's blood, Orochimaru has tattoo's which enable him to summon snakes. The reason he didn't in the showdown was due to the fact his arms were rotting and he was in EXTREME amounts of pain, had a fever, etc.
