I was with you until you got to the Minato part (How exactly do you know this to be true...for all we know Kishimoto might give Minato an excuse for this latter if he wants him to go at Madara again/That is if there is a way for him to regain his lost limbs)

We can come close through catching on to what Kishimoto's planning at in his foreshadowing, but yes, many excuses made about supporting characters are only speculation on the part of the fans.

Naruto is called Naruto for a reason. It's about Naruto. Everyone else are supporting characters. Even Sasuke and Sakura who are part of his storyline and team are considered heros/heroines, and they are, but in the end the story is still about Naruto.

Whatever Kishimoto does to the supporting cast in the end affects Naruto's fate/destiny.

1) I don't know what he's thinking

3) Naruto isn't even finished. We can't really decide how the story will ultimately end until we're there.
