The gates probably would work. Seeing as how you call upon life energy, or stamina, logically one shouldn't be able to muster up that kind of power in death. And also, the power would be too great to contain, it's not. Like Kcm, that can be seal and counter via Edo regeneration, you basically release a lot of power in your body and channeling it through fast punches and kicks before it has the time to build up and explode. The Edo body probably would explode upon entering a high level gate

Personally I think kimmiaro is the best Edo because you need to just physical attacks to damage and seal an Edo. And kimmimaro is immune to physical attacks. Making him in my opinion the best Edo.
