The guards, although stationed in advantageous positions, were arrogant and were caught unawares by the horde, and were quickly overwhelmed. The guards were quickly consumed by the horde as it charged through, each member taking a piece of each sentrymen. In a matter of miutes, the entire horde was well inside; in a mere three hours, the entire city was consumed, with the enormous amount of survivors turned. Due to their arrogance, Neo Zenithian was unprepared for a siege, and though its citizens fought bravely, they were quickly overwhelmed by pure ferocity and primal tenacity of the Horde.
