Of course not, that's a freaking planet lol. It was just a really nice picture, and detailed at that. However, the explosion if fairly big, plus the two we're pretty much close range. Lee cut the prison -> Detonation went off -> Noctis in the prison -> Boom -> Dead.

Lucifer appears in the air with Lee and Noctis in both his arms judging by his Six Wings and appearance he is in his Awakened state.

"Was almost too later there"

The way Lucifer saved them was by going into his Awakened state and using the instant movements of his Wings and the Null power of an Observer to counter balance the explosion and had grabbed them, though he barely made it Noctis and Lee are on the verge of death.

Noctis had quiet a lot of time to respond but since he found it OP to avoid the explosion, he accepted death.

Considering the fact that GodofThunder was able to save Noctis further proves that it was not an insta-kill and Noctis had enough time to avoid.

Lucifer did not care for what Kisuke done because saving Noctis life was all that was owed from a long since forgotten debt that Lucifer's predecessor owed.
