Not sure if anyone gave it a shot, but I think this is what happened to Hagoromo's brother and 3 staves speculation.

PS - I'll try to add more later, this was kind of rushed. Also, on Hagoromo's staff in the 2nd battle against the Juubi theres something inside the full moon, also, in the first picture the Juubi is staring directly at Hagoromo's brother. And in the first battle it appears to be during the day and water is splashing(or mountains are getting destroyed) while in the 2nd battle it appears to be at night and the ground is cracking, showing that the 2nd battle was much more intense.

While this is a clever take on this, it is wrong entirely. Hagoromo already concluded that they both sealed portions of the entire Juubi within themselves. The older picture you are referencing is just the interpretation from Obito passed down from Madara, who doesn't even know the whole truth about Hagoromo, his mother, or even the existence of Hagoromo's brother at all.

One of those is "Battles" is an account from someone who was actually present and the other imagery used when Obito? Was describing the Juubi.

The wrong word(Stave) is using incorrectly throughout this entire "theory"

The only would stave would = staff would be in a musical sense.

OP could have just said staffs but I mean, tomatoes/tomatas, idc the theory was interesting.

Who said Obito's interpretation was wrong? I might've missed it, so if someone called him out on it, give me a page link please lol

? i mean obito never said he was there and these were just shown while he was describing it

So you'd take an interpretation from a descendant over someone who was *ahem* ACTUALLY THERE? Come on. Hagoromo's word here is absolute. Don't try to argue such an obvious point.

I cannot believe it. Someone values Obito's opinion more than that fugly sage's? Grasping at straws.

i dont think you understand the meaning of this thread.

Battle 1 : 2 Scenarios.

Scenario 1 : The Juubi is split and half the chakra goes to each of them, Hagoromo's brother couldn't handle the chakra and becomes the 2nd picture. or, as Hagoromo's brother is dieing he gives his half to Hagoromo. both of these lead to the 2nd battle

Scenario 2 : The Juubi eats/absorbs Hagoromo's brother and Hagoromo ends up sealing the Juubi inside himself, sealing his brother also in the process, which is why he says 'us'

Battle 2 : the juubi breaks free/or after hagoromo's brother dies his half roams free again and results in hagoromo battling the juubi again [picture 2] and he ends up absorbing the other half

you mightve misunderstood me, but assuming im thinking what you were thinking, hagoromo could be lieing and hagoromo might just be the final villain

I cannot believe it. Someone values Obito's opinion more than that fugly sage's? Grasping at straws.

well you better hold on tight mr penguin

I don't see how the Viz translation makes your theory relevant again...this clearly disproves your theory, since it obviously said that THEY, Hagoromo and his Brother(both of them) sealed the Juubi inside of Hagoromo. That obviously means that his brother had to be alive, and not part of the Juubi or some shit, when they sealed it, since he said they both sealed it...

And the second picture, the blacked out picture that was a "flashback" of Obito's doesn't mean anything. That's the incomplete form of the Juubi, and the only reason Kishi showed the Juubi that way was because we didn't get to see the final form of the Juubi until later on. He's not going to show the final form of the Juubi in the first, or one of the first, panels of him ever showing the Juubi. The author just changed his mind with how the scene looked, since he didn't even tell the whole story until just this chapter anyway. You are looking into it far to much.
