Ok so when he said New Possibilities in how his youngest lived i got confused, Was Kaguya bad? I mean her sons had to repent for her sins, and he said his oldest son was the good one a genius and the youngest was no good, but the oldest was power hungry a loner that didn't need or want any ones help, putting that with that fact that Kaguya was seen as a demon to some an others worshiped her powers. with the sage seeing how people interacted with his mother and his oldest acting like her would that be why his youngest path be a new possibility and did he start wandering around helping because if it

Good and evil are subjective things. To me, causing the war that lasts for hundreds of years certainly is not a good thing to do. Same for stealing the fruit hence creating the god who wants to destroy everyone.

To be honest ES wasn't evil, just butthurt and selfish. If the Sage would have treated the two sons fairly and maybe imparted some .of those Ninshuu life lessons to his sons b4 choosing an heir maybe this all could have been avoided
OT: No the Sage imparted Ninshuu teachings way before his sons were even born. He was a monk ya know

This ^ he should have said both of them instead of just one of them shall bring peace to the world

If he did that, they would still compete. In the sage's eyes, Indra's way didn't fit ninshuu. Ninshuu is meant to connect people together, but the eldest wanted to do things alone. If he made them both successors, they would eventually walk seperate paths. The sage wanted his sons to work together, that's why he made the youngest son his successor and wanted his eldest to help him.
