Hashirama more of a genius than Naruto?

Just saying that Hashirama was forced to learn quickly to survive when he was young and had support from family during that whole time.

People seem to say that he was a natural-born genius unlike Naruto but really they were born into COMPLETELY different situations:
- War vs. Peace
- Family vs. Alone
- Trained on the battlefield vs. Trained in a ninja academy older
- Started young vs. started older

These constant comparisons of Naruto's development vs. Hashirama's "natural genius" seem illogical to me because we have no idea how Naruto would have turned out otherwise. For evidence, look at the fact that Kakashi and Itachi were also highly advanced at a much younger age because of the situation that existed during their childhoods. Yet, most people here would not say that they had the same potential as Naruto and Sasuke seem to.

Just one man's opinion though. If, someone has a different view I'd be happy to hear it. Keep it civil.

I wouldn't say having a Bloodline limit makes you more intelligent though. Also, Naruto may have been unable to handle his chakra because of the leak from the 9T

no naruto is definatley dumb. hes just very clever on the battle field and thats all that matters.

If he's clever on the battlefield, and he learns quickly, and he has managed to control the 9T better than anyone before....how is he dumb in a way that Hashirama isn't dumb? They are both goofy but have the same philosophy and both think quickly in battle.

I see your point. But that's why I mentioned the other differences. If Naruto had been born with his own father around or if he knew something about controlling the 9T chakra, he might have been stronger than Sasuke all along as well.

knowing something and doing it in total different things.naruto had many ppl help for that. so its not a big difference. may be if sasuke was not like there he may not wnt to gain more power.coz he dnt hv someone to complete with.naruto him self said many times he wnt to better as sasuke so thats it.

I don't think Naruto was all that stupid on the battlefield other than the times he's gotten emotional and failed to make the final blow (though it always works out better for him in the end). I haven't seen anything especially "clever" out of Hashi, in terms of battle strategy as he is always able to use his big moves. I'd say we see much more strategy out of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even Naruto.

hash as a kid was way beyond naruto at the same age

genjutsu takes real intelligence hash is capable of using it so therefore hash is know dumbass he's naive and goofy but not dumb

naruto is dumb and not book smart but has is strong points because he has some cleverness
