[Discussion] I want to address this common misconception about Aokiji

Ever since Akainu defeated Aokiji in a battle people have had this strange mentality of Akainu being much stronger than Aokiji. Those of you who think that please follow this link.

You must remember, the battle lasted 10 days which means that it certainly was a close fight. We haven't even seen the battle yet. Once we see the structure of events that happened in the fight we will find out if there were any key factors that lead to Aokiji's loss. I for one think Akainu may have delivered a cheap shot against Aokiji; something sneaky. The reason I think this is because Akainu usually does that type of crap.


Even if it were to be a non bullshit fight and Akainu did win then would Aokiji win round 2? Let me know.​

My guess is that Kizaru probably had orders to shut it down, and while he was Akainu took a cheap shot.

Its hard to judge power levels when it gets to insane levels. Both are capable of killing each other in one blow and both are capable of taking anything the other can dish out. Quite paradoxical if I do say so. But trust me in this range its a fairly balanced scale. Of course untill someone tips it.

They are almost Identical in power level but Lava won.

most ppl I see talk about it agree that the are almost equal with Akainu having a slight edge, imo mostly due to the nature of their DF's

Another misconception about Aokiji, is that Aokiji is still called Aokiji.

His name after he dropped out of the navy is Kuzan.

They are on the same level definitely, just Sakazuki is a tiny,tiny,tiny bit above him.
Sakazuki won probably with extreme diff. It would definitely have been one of the closest fights in OP.

Granted the fight lasted 10 days but we have no idea what happened for all we know Akainu might have tried to reason with Kuzan and tried to talk sense into him as the loss of an Admiral would affect the Marines and the world Government.

The fact that Akainu let Kuzan live shows me Akainu wasn't trying to kill Kuzan and significantly held back in the fight.

Anyway the answer to your question 'if' a round 2 happened Akainu would win again.
