We all know how much so6god wank indra in last chapter. He went on bragging how excellent and perfect indra was. Then he said sometimes the son don't inherit full potential of the parents. The son who doesnt get full potential of the parents are ashura and naruto according to so6god. That also implying indra inherited the full potential of so6p by the god himself.

But here is the problem, because 10 out of 10 people here believe indra inherited only half potential of so6p, and went on explained so6p rinnegan stomp indra half competent eyes.

From this chapter, so6god is very please with indra power as if indra inherited his full power. It's quite contrary to popular beliefs

So how you piece it right with this undeniable chapter?

Indra inherited the sage's chakra only, he said it himself.

How about the full potential? Sage said the less talented don't inherit full potential. That means the talented is opposite(full potential). And the wank was really strong from sage

Indra inherited the sage's strong chakra, he had it since birth.

Ashura didn't awaken the sage's body until later on.

They still only possess half of the sage's power each, otherwise indra would've been born with the rinnegan [indicating that he has the full power of the sage].

If I understand the question right:

I think the Sage was just saying that Indra was powerful without working at it, he was gifted and a genius. Where as Ashura wasn't gifted from birth and in order to be powerful he needed support and to work at it. I don't think he was saying one was stronger than the other.

However Ashura did have a bigger impact I would say being his way of power changed the Sage's thinking and is why he made the 9 Bijuu. That's my interpretation of the chapter.

So6p can't possibility call indra excellent along with all the wanking when indra talent and powers are really imperfect comparing the father

Is there anyone get the part where the sage implied indra inherited so6p full potential? Or just conveniently skip it?

funny that rikudou never compared his sons to himself

I would say technically he did(one is genius like him, the other is nothing like him), but the point of the chapter is to compare two sons

what you have to realize is that the things that indra inherited were easily apparent, as he had a dojutsu and powerful chakra. what ashura had wasn't apparent until he had worked hard. so in essence they both inhereted things from their father, it's just not the same. remember he said that they became equals after ashura worked hard.

Potential with half the power. He had the potential to become strong and great with the power he was given, not power equal to the sage.

If he was as powerful as Hagoromo, then he'd be the equivalent of a juubi jinchuriki
