Indra's eyes and the no-longer Elder Son Dojutsu w/ Theory!!

Hello, here is somethings I want to bring up regarding Indra's eyes.
So before chapter 670, there was much speculation that Indra's eyes were a unique dojutsu, commonly referred to as the Elder Son Dojutsu *shocker*.

But in this chapter we learned that he had the Sharingan.

Meaning that the Elder Son Dojutsu is actually just the Mangeyko sharingan,
BUT, this raises the question as to HOW did Indra receive the Mangeyko!

• He couldn't have killed his brother as they were shown fighting while he had Susanoo.
• Him killing an unamed any other fodder is unlikely (maybe the uncle)

So how did he get it?
Simple:
His Mangeyko patern seems to be one of the closest eyes to the Rinnegan (and he has the swirls).
So I believe the reason why he was able to use Perfect Susanoo with only a Mangeyko is because he had the direct genes of the sage as well as "the eyes" (not actual eyes, but ocular power)

Meanwhile Overtime, the Sharingan weakened from generation to generation, causing blindness and giving opening for the Eternal Mangeyko Sharingan!

This makes sense. Why?
The Uchiha Tablet
As the generations passed, the Sharingan weakened, going from Indra's eyes to the 3 tomoe then 2 then 1.
That is why reading it was unclear and required visual prowess.

Madara stated "as far as I could decipher it". Meaning even with his Eternal Mangeyko Sharingan he could not read it perfectly. It is obvious that the Rinnegan can read it, but it would make sense that the specific eyes of Indra could also read it clearly.

The older son got it from the genes of the Sage (Hiruzen). They were most likely massively powerful. Kishi might have changed the eye design. Maybe he didn't like the spiral anymore?

I am not sure what you mean, but Indra definitely awakened the Mangeyko sharingan, with it being his Spiral Eyes as one of the closest visual prowess to the Rinnegan as a result of being the Sage's direct offspring.

I'm not in conformity with your argumentation completely, but it's a good thread anyway. I think, Indra awoke the Mangekyo Sharingan because Hagoromo had selected Ashura and not him. This anger developed his eyes even further.

I don't think it was Rinnegan as only Madara and Hagoromo were stated to have awakened it.
Plus, it would make sense if the Sharingan weakened over time.

Ems and Ms looks like it degraded over time because the blood lines thinned.

Since so6p saying indra is excellent or perfect, that means he inherited so6p full power if he didn't surpass him. That would mean he most likely had rinnegan

Yes I mentioned that I believe the Sharingan weakened over generation. And I believe the thinning-blood thing was said by Obito while retelling the story of Uchiha and Senju to Naruto.
