Math and science can't explain everything, in the end they are subjective applications of knowledge that humans have. There are philosophies that seek to explain and argue for certain truths with a goal of being as scientific as possible in the pursuit of knowledge. This includes philosophies which discuss the fields of math and science. As already stated, math and science can figure out the "hows" but more often than not the "why" is still subjective. No one knows why the big bang happened, or why intelligent life evolved the way it did, but we can uncover the how; the ways it happened. Without philosophy, these whys are left as mysteries. The answers they find may not suit you, but believe me, if you keep reading you'll find arguments and counter-arguments and you will likely form your own over time too.

What's wrong with philosophies? In a world without philosophies, there's no variation between people. Everyone is the same. Everyone follows universal truths. There's no difference between anyone except in how much you know. The world becomes black and white, there's no courage or cowardice, no right or wrong, no normal or crazy. You know what a world without crazy is like for a guy like me? It's no world I wanna be part of.

The big bang happened because, in fact, it is the collapse of one or two previous universes, who started the same way (big chill/big crunch effect) We live in an universe of a sea of universe which are endless in time (they've always existed and will always will exist).

Did you know that kissing, an act of love, stimulates the same parts of the brain and causes the same chemical reactions as chocolate? Except that chocolate does it in greater abundance. Yet, there are very few people I know who would pass up a long, passionate, and loving kiss for a meager ounce of chocolate.

Scientifically, this isn't really sound. Because if the chocolate stimulates those reactions on a greater scale, shouldn't it make us happier? Shouldn't we choose it without hesitation?

Yeah, there's a formula for love. There are specific chemicals that create that feeling, and science can definitely tell you what they are. But philosophy tells you why you like kissing the person you love more than that ounce of chocolate.

Science today can't even give a propper definition of conciousness, let alone explain why it exists or how it works. Science doesnt have a propper answer to the question why the big bang happened and it cn't tell you wether there are other life-forms out there either. It can't tell you how to cure certain deseases (yet) and it doesn't give you an answer to the question wether we will achieve imortality ever.
Science cannot tell you wether jesus lived, neither can it proove or disproove the existence of any god.
Heck even gravity is not fully explained yet.

Science is a powerfull tool used to gain knowledge, nobody truly doubts thta. But it does not provide answers to all things and arguably never will. There are some things that science will never be able to proove or disproove, questions that will always remain unanswered. Not even science will change that.

The Big Crunch theory has been debunked, or at least has no basis for being an inevitable anymore, in fact it has been shown that the universe is only expanding at a faster rate. You've just proven that you don't in fact rely on purely objective scientific knowledge (which in fairness, cannot exist as all knowledge is a product of a human mind), but instead listen to subjective discourse that you choose to accept. Discourse is the way philosophy is transmitted, and in the end, science is a philosophy of it's own that you are adhering to.

Now I have heard theories that the Big Bang was possibly the tail end of a black hole from another universe. Perhaps in some universes a big chill or big crunch can happen, but as of now there is no reason to believe that a big crunch will be the end of our universe. They're all just theories.

Ease up on the gas son. Your statements are wrong.
First: the definition of counciouness is to phisically feel the world and from the feelings (like vision and gustation), interpret it with the usage of logic.
Second: it's possible to cure all diseases, but cures for AIDS and the common flu do not "exist" because some diseases were created in labs to depopulate certain places (like Africa, which has an uncontrollable vegetative growth).
Third: We can achieve immortality by several ways.
Fourth: Our universe is a small piece of a giant puzzles of universes. When one or two collapse, they'll form a big bang.
Fifth: Jesus lived and science can disproove the existence of god by several manners.
Sixth: Gravity is the distortion of space because of a massive object

Some string theory physicians say that we indeed live in a Blackhole, and the string theory, which is the explanation we give most things nowdays, accepts both big jill and big crunch as "endings" for the universe.

In your world, you say this, and everyone goes "yup". If there's no dispute, no opposition, if every single person believed in the exact same thing all the time for every topic, where's the fun? Where's the point? Conversations would be horrible, this world would boring. I take fun and interesting over universal agreement every day of every week.

Let me rephrase that... They're all just speculations.

Theories can make true predictions and can be worked with to explain phenomenons in the real world with a certian degree of efficiency, speculations are just hypothetical constructs that may or may not have actual relation to the real world.

I know it's hard to understand since we're from a Christian-Jewish background, but if you were an Indian or Bhuddist or native American, it would be a lot easier to understand the concept of infinite universes.

In any case, there are fields of philosophy that are geared toward morality and they don't really step on science's toes at all. Why do you consider it harmful?
