1) Good and evil aren't black and white.

2) Orochimaru was one of the three sanin. He was extremely powerful, defeated the third Hokage (while losing his arms), and it is thanks to him that the Hokage are at the Battlefied

Naruto is the reincarnation of Ashura and let's assume Saskue is reincarnation Indra. Sage never said which one was ultimately stronger just that Indra was born with natural talent whereas Ashura had to work hard. Even if Indra did defeat Ashura (which was not stated) all he is saying is that their wills and chakras were reincarnated in Naruto, not that history is going to repeat itself again. Even if Ashura lost that is no kind of proof that Naruto is going to lose

Sasuke is Indra. He and Naruto will be equal and they will both die if they fight just like the sages sons did. That was the point of their final conversation before the war when Sakura realized she couldn't kill Sasuke. I don't believe that a person has to have all of the same qualities or struggles to be the reincarnation of a person.

I think the fact that Sasuke has long believed that acquiring power and having power was the answer to his problems is what makes him Indra's successor.

The point of this thread is that Ashura didn't defeat Indra, and that the war never really ended. They were both destroyed, despite Ashura having many allies. Assuming what we all assume about who the other reincarnation is, Naruto is 100% unable to solo Sasuke. If Madara is the reincarnation of the Sage, then he's also stronger than Naruto. This pretty firmly pushes Naruto out of the top 10, at least for now.

If Ashura and Indra did indeed completely obliterate one another than that parallels Naruto's statement that if he and Sasuke were to fight they would both die.
