Now, we know that Ashura's descendants were Senju and Indra's descendants were Uchihas. Rikodu had just two children. I think he had another brother that continued the Hagoromo clan. The Hagoromo clan does exist and couldn't have come from Ashura or Indra.

The Symbol of the Hagoromo clan seams to be like a Half moon (kind of). Ashura was symbolised with a full moon and Indra was symbolised with a crescent moon. So maybe the third son symbolises the half-moon.

First of all the Sage is speaking to Naruto who he see's as the reincarnation of the son he wants to lead the future, why would he not explain that he had yet another brother

Secondly - there are other clans such as the Kaguya clan, [kimmimaro], does not necessarily mean substantial information

2nd sons hyuga clan uzumaki are a fodder branch of senju and nardo is representation of younger son. So cannot be connected to other son.
