I would like to go throw this chapter and answer some of the questions that were posed by today's chapter.
Q: Has the sage of the six paths meet anyone before?
It is highly possible because Hagoromo remarks that he has meet other "Transmigrants", but i doubt that he would have explained everything to them like he did to Naruto, and I think that Naruto's cooperation with the Bijuus played an important role. The other "Transmigrants" which we have seen are Hashirama, Madara and Sasuke.
Hashirama is Ashura's reincarnation where Madara is Indra's,
Naruto is Ashura's reincarnation where Sasuke is Indra's.
But i highly doubt it that the sage has meet Hashirama, Madara and Sasuke face to face, but I think he has been watching over them, observing there actions and seeing what will become of them. The only one that he meet in person was Naruto(Because he is the main character and there has to be something special about him and his connection with the Sage).
Q: Is Kayuga an alien?
Hagoromo's reply to Naruto was rather suspicious, as he claimed it would make sense.
Alien means something not local, it does not necessarily mean Extra-terrestrial beings, and with sage being very extensive, insightful and very professional on words it is highly possible that her mother might be from another part of the world, but whether she is human of not depends on the future chapters but i think Kishimoto will let that go, because when Naruto asked where did she came from, the sage simply put the topic aside.
Q: Who is the Sage brother?
Hagoromo's brother was brought up very recently, we haven't heard about him before, His physical appearance is very near to that of Madara(Juubi), now his story might get expanded in the up coming chapter, and why would Kishimoto introduce a new character with no purpose, I think he will play a major role in the Manga.
He sealed one half of the Juubi in his own body, but considering that both YIN/YANG were divided equally in both of the brother, it is safe to assume that both of them have powers of the same caliber.
Ashura and Indra?
Indra had the sage's strong Chakra, Eyes, was good at everything since he was born hailed as a genius, where Ashura had large Chakra pools which he hadn't unlocked to their fullest potential, Ashura through training and suffering was able to unlock power in same caliber but was always dependent on other people, Ashura was the inspiration and ultimate prove that Love and cooperation can overcome everything.
Q: Why did the sage divide the Bijuus?
Simple question but most people don't realize it, sage divided the Bijuus because he thought that one strong entity is not stronger than 9 weak entities working together, so he divided them as the testament for real power.
Indra's EMS and Ashura's Cloak.
Indra: He had the sage's Eye which is the Rinnegan but lacked the body to support it so logically thinking he would have the strongest eyes that his body can support without his brothers body, Indra has unlocked the Perfect Susanoo although there are some physical changes but the most common attribute that the Perfect Susanoo has is the Nose which is a representation of the superior Tengu exist in all the perfect Susanoos. Indra might lacked PS's Body and legs because we didn't see it but its still debatable though.
Ashura: His cloak i believe is his own life force personified because the physical appearance of Chakra which is the direct copy of real being(Like Bijuu mode has Kurama's appearance) is humanoid, and the black balls might be compressed round shaped Chakra as Ashura's life force is very strong it is possible that it has become on par with that of the bijuu's.(I like the comparison between Ashura and Naruto because both of them are using Rasengan as their primary attack).
Q: Is Naruto Ashura's reincarnation?
I think that Ashura's does not reincarnate in people but rather Influence them in ways that they become like him, like Indra influencing Madara but now he has started to take action with Sasuke, this could solve how both Madara and Sasuke can exist simultaneously.
