Many people think Ashura was Kurama's jinchuriki due to that cloak he had on ..

However people are forgetting some key things ..

1. Kurama, during his first meeting with Sasuke, compared Sasuke's eyes to that of Madara's, but not Indra's.

2. If Kurama was inside or on Ashura's side during this battle, he'd know Indra's ocular powers.

Conclusion - The bijuu were not there during the war and probably never met Ashura or Indra ..

The SO6P divided up the ten tails into nine individual beasts so that Ashura could lead them along with everyone else. This strongly suggests that they did know the sons. That was my take on this scan.

Mito not only subdued the beast, she controlled it , forced it to be inactive whilst using it's power for herself, so she did something Madara and hashirama couldn't do. Madara only was able to control the beast, hahashi only bound the beast
