I thought it made sense for the princess to have a second child for Uzumaki lineage before it was announced, but since naruto is the reincarnation of the younger son it makes a little less impact now. I'm thinking the real purpose of this brother is as the true antagonist. One that can't be reasoned with and has no "greater good" purpose like madara and obito.

I think a lot of people made that hypothesis.
It was strange that all the clans we know came from Ashura(senju) and Indra(uchiha) , and there were other hypothesis that could explain that fact.

After Juubi's sealing we don't know what he became , he wasn't involved in the fight between Indra and Ashura.
Hago's bro need to have hidden himself for centuries.

I was already formulating theories about the 2nd son but this is now my belief. It makes the most sense because the 2nd son probably didn't separate the Jubii so I believe with that kind of power he could make someone Immortal. Great idea.
