But here we see him with both his "Other" Eyes closed, and his face "Mark" also appears to "Close", as you can no longer discern any ripple pattern.

It's the THIRD EYE. In Mysticism, it's called Clairvoyance. Though Kishimoto has presented it in a literal manner. It's also termed as 'Knowledge' or 'Marifah'. I don't think it's what you have referred to.
