I dunno about you guys, but after reading the newest chapter. I got the blatant highlight that both Naruto and Ashura are talentless idiots who need help to achieve anything. All the while Kishi is once again blatantly wanking to how cool the 'Uchiha' are.

Honestly, the guy has very little logical thought process. Naruto isn't as intelligent as he could be because of the situations of his younger years in the village. If say the villagers saw him and treated him as a hero for containing Kurama, things would have been alot more different. He was an orphan who grew up and basically raised himself. If he grew up with his parents or even Jiraiya then he would be a different person altogether and thus Kishi's explanations would be disregarded.

Maybe it was just a bad translation I suppose. It could have easily just been kishi implying that the older son inherited more natural talent due to the Sharinan and the like that we saw him with. I daresay, the Sharingan practically teaches its users itself it would have been alot more complicated to learn how to work what Ashura recieved through his strong body.

he basically has wet dreams about uchiha, Sasuke has DONE nothing in the grand scheme of things that impacted the story, a puppet from the beginning passed around like a prostitute.

So.... you're upset naruto isn't as naturally gifted as others are? I don't understand the point of this.

According to Kishi that makes him better than a genius, the idea is that even a genius can be surpassed by the guts to never give up.

Naruto symbolizes that, remember that the Sage chose his younger son over the elder son. He chose the one who never gave up over the genius.

You did get it man, that's the point. Ashura/Naruto's hard work and constant training made them equal to the geniuses Indra/Sasuke. Hard work surpasses that genius. That's the whole point.

The whole idea is that Naruto's drive, hard work, and ability to help people is what makes him strong.

At least Naruto is true to himself and is earning his power.

^^This.
I actually thought he praises Ashura more, No shame in being obligated to work hard to catch up to others.
It is a great virtiue.

This is the whole idea in a nutshell ..

Naruto's power = Bonds

Sasuke's power = Selfishness

He meant that being born a genius or an idiot doesn't matter. Everyone has the possibility of reaching the same level, only that through hard work and help from others, one can achieve anything. Power that is born from the cooperation and love of others can break any wall, no matter how strong it is. That is what he meant and he wanted to illustrate that as good as possible, by saying that Naruto was an idiot like his own son used to be.

Well, I'd rather work hard and get help while doing so, rather than being a natural genius.
It points out that, while the Uchiha might be natural geniusses, they are arrogant as a result.
And we all know that being arrogant leads to nothing but pain and suffering.

i think the goal of ashura/naruto "hardwork" was more about improved social skills/leadership than guts and power
