(I'm digging the content I'm seeing so far, guys. Great work and I hope everyone is having a good time. First event should be up tomorrow, so if you haven't really posted, I hope you can come join in ^^)
(But for now, flashbacks! Gonna try and flesh things out.)
Tera.
The once great capital of Human and Chaos Being activity, had been all but abandoned. The Human Alliance and United Fronts had moved their governments and organizations elsewhere. Underground operations existed, and people still lived there, but the city, with its towering skyscrapers, advanced steampunk technology, and a popular tourist spot for all races as a testament to human ingenuity, was but a shell of its former self.
A perfect battleground.
Frankie Lombardo sat on a pool chair on top of Tera's Central Bank tower, smoking a cigarette and absentmindedly twirling his Fedora in his free hand. His Suit was clean, with a new tie and shoes. He had a casual, almost gleeful look on his face as he observed the empty city down below, watching as people ran about in little groups, not the usual bustle he saw in his childhood.
From behind him, Ryth Saranthia landed on the roof. Dressed in his incredibly sleek and pristine armor, his cape flowed, and his attire fused both medieval and futuristic, giving him the appearance of a regal knight. A force truly to be reckoned with.
Frankie gave a small smirk, not looking at Ryth, and put out his cigarette simply by looking at it.
"A good day to die, huh, buddy?" He said, slightly sarcastic.
"... I suppose." Ryth replied, used to his adversary's antics. "But I came here for a different reason, Mr. Lombardo."
"... oh, and what is that, Mr. Guy-in-the-Sky?" Frankie got up, twirling around and pretending to be comical as he faced the Guardian.
"I came here to prevent this war before it escalates into uncontrollable levels. If we negotiate a peace, we could perhaps secure our-"
"HOLD UP! Before you get all preachy again, let me remind you that it was YOU Observers that started this war. I mean, sure, the Blue Eyes were a small clan, but what you did, was essentially a terrorist attack." Frankie retorted.
"... that was necessary. You humans are far too short sighted and always take things at face value. And your reaction caused mass panic and action. Such predictable behavior." Ryth said condescendingly.
"... and your conquering and subsequent destruction of MY PEOPLE is something that can be overlooked, Mr. Saranthia?!" Frankie's anger was causing the floor around him to crack slightly.
"Then we are both hypocrites."
"Cut the crap. I know why you're here. In fact, you do too. The whole world is watching us, seeing who will be the victor in this fight. Holy shit, I've been waiting for this day..."
Frankie stuck his tongue out and began taking a stance, similar to a Boxer's.
Ryth began unsheathing his sword, his expression ever calm and stoic. "Yes, today, we-"
Before the Guardian could finish his sentence, Frankie's Duplicate appeared behind the Guardian, and performed a downward smash with his right arm, which had been transformed into a large metallic hammer with jet thrusters on it. Upon impact with Ryth's head, the thrusters boosted, smashing him through the roof and down a couple of floors of the building.
"FIRST BLOOD, MOTHERFU-" Frankie said with a maniacal gleam in his eyes. He jumped into the created hole, engaging him in battle. The Frankie Duplicate created a jetpack on his back and jumped off the building, ready to act when needed.
The battle that would change the war's course had begun...
