What would make Sakura useful?

she has proven least useful if you judge her by panel time. Everyone else from k12 has gotten far fewer panel time and they have shown much more use. Even Kiba proved to be extrememly useful in part 1 when he stayed to fight sakon and ukon and he even had a major part in part 2 because of his ability to track people down.

yeah, I know. Usefulness over panel time isnt exactly sakura's best trait, since most of those pnales have her not being useful.

I'm trying to point out that you know how Minato despite not having any arms aka being useless. Is still able to utilise another ability. The ability to cause flashbacks!!! Do DOO DOOOO!!!. But with Sakura...it won't be possible because she hasn't done anything XD

if she wasnt there, tsunade wouldve easily healed naruto. She couldnt even keep shikamaru alive before so her healing Naruto was an asspull. Tsunade can just come and touch Naruto's forhead and all is better

She a medical ninja. Very important to the war. She already got Naruto heart back to pumping right long enough to get the tailed beast into him. She don't have to beat all the main villains to be "useful." People just hating on her character to tell the truth.

il find the chapter in a second if you like however "being useful" is a matter of perspective..

just because tsunade can do something does not discredit what sakura can do.. and its not like tsunade can be everywhere at once..

IMO the fact that shes not from some famous clan makes the fact that shes quite strong more impressive.

Dunno, since the manga is about to end I don't think she'll have any time to shine, doing something significant.

If she had died, that would somehow make her character more interesting, but for now I still don't think that anything can be done to make her look better. Same goes for almost all the female characters of Narutoverse except Konan, Kushina, Tsunade and maybe Karin.

Except she kinda isn't. While Naruto and sasuke are basically god tier, she's jonin level.

Her power developments are also very inconsistent... Ino. She gets a power boost at the beginning of shippiden and never gets anything till now. I could honestly vive you examples right now if reasonable power UPS kishi could have given her (axe, more genjutsu, earth style, expand on inner Sakura , shape manipulation, since she has non, and even mokuton would have all been possible)

Sakura has been useful in her own right. It's not her fault her teammates have the Sharingan/Kyuubi, and well with her civilian background it is nearly impossible to rival that.
She did play a major part in Sasori's death. She has healed people in the war.
She may not be a good character, she may not have much development, but she is useful.

If she sacrificed herself. I still haven't given up hope that she will someway, somehow, for whatever reason pull a granny Chiyo.

But truthfully, what would make her useful if for Kishi to stop making her useless. She already has the skills to be useful. She's already being useful what with the whole keeping ppl alive thing and all (that's kind of important in battle).

But within the context of an actual fight which is what ppl seem to mean by being "useful", I'd say actually engaging in the actual combat instead of just one shotting an opponent then standing like a deer in headlights all shocked that the enemy actually counter attacks.

Yes, here's how she can be useful: actually be ready for a counter attack and not have to be saved when the enemy actually punches back.

She can also save Naruto and Sasuke in a fight for once. How about covering their backs for once. What, an attack from behind? Keep your eyes in front of you Naruto/Sasuke. I've got your back.

Or better yet. Isn't she like some sort of genius with all this book knowledge? How about coming up with a god damn plan of attack for once? If she's the brains, why the hell isn't she anayzing the enemy's movements (especially with Tsunade's evasion training) and conveying what she analyzed to Naruto and Sasuke so they can counter attack appropriately?!

****ing Kishimoto. He tells us all these things about her, but he refuses to show them. Why?!

Just like in the Sasori fight, he kept ramming "Oh what an impressive girl" down our throat instead of SHOWING US and letting us cone to that conclusion. Such cheap writing. Oh well.
