There's nothing special about Konohamaru

Loads of people get hyped up about Konohamaru. People say he's stronger than Naruto, he defeated pain, he's mastered all these Jutsus blah blah blah. Who cares? What has Konohamaru done or achieved? He doesn't have any of his own techniques, all of his techniques are just copied from his present day Shinobi. How does that make him special at all? Yes, he is strong for his age but what does "Strong" mean when you just use techniques that every other character has used before? Had Konohamaru come up with his own style instead of just copying Naruto, now that would be impressive. But at the moment how could anyone regard him as such an elite Ninja when all he's done is defeated a path of pain and learnt techniques taught to him by others that have already mastered them ages ago?

1st of all, I take everything seriously. 2nd of all, this isn't in response to any thread I was actually meaning to create this for a while now and then I forgot but I was reminded when I saw a thread on him just now.

I wouldn't say nothing wasn't special about old Konohamaru. Hate it or love it, he did solo a Pain which is more than 95% of the village did. And he can do a jounin jutsu in Kage Bunshin as a genin.

He may not be genin Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, or Lee level, but he's a pretty gifted ninja for being so young and doing the shit he's done.

well technically having the same jutsu doesnt mean anything, look at sasuke having sharingan genjutsu but look how weak his is compared to itachi's, i respect konohamaru and he is probably the strongest genin that is there actual rank to ever come out of the hidden leaf, as much as people want to say that pain was weak the fact of the matter is that pain solo'd chuunin and jonin neg diff and konohamaru defeated him and that was the only pain defeated prior to naruto showing up so i have nothing but respect for him and he does the rasengan better than naruto did at that age, it took naruto up until the war to not need 2 clones and then he went from 2 cloens to 2 chakra arms which did the same thing while it takes konohamaru 1 clones to do the jutsu and he deduced the mechanics behind the pain's jutsu also hiruzen as stated by danzo before his death said hiruzen skill performing any jutsu is unsurpassed, which means if hiruzen does the same jutsuas anybody he would do it the best, and seeing how konohamaru at that age is greater than naruto with rasengan at that age then i think hiruzens's skills skipped a generation passing over asuma and into konohamaru...

Eh? He was the grandson of the third so he was always probably having lessons with Hiruzen which is how he learned that thousand shuriken move thing. You'd expect any Shinobi grandson of a Kage to be powerful, that's not something down to him and him alone that he personally achieved.

Konohamaru took 3 damn years to learn the Rasengan once Naruto taught it to him and it wasn't even that great, it didn't leave a hole in pain's chest or nothing. Konohamaru's Rasengan was nothing compared to Naruto's first Rasengan especially since it took him 3 years to learn how to do it after Naruto taught it to him.

Atleast he is strong enough to take on a path of pein, unlike sakura cowering in fear
