Another thing to note is that Kakashi was not the ninja sent to intercept Orochimaru when he left the village. IT WAS JIRAIYA.

Minato was a Hokage which makes him a highly revealed person. It'd be hard for anybody in the village to not know who he is, since he's its leader.

still not a plot hole. Minato was comparing based on the mechanics, in that tobirama's needed seals and what not. He knows this because he bettered tobirama's FTG. He didn't need to see tobirama in action to know that obito's was diff/better in his opinion. The knowledge he gained from studying tobirama's implementation was enough. Also, it was probably jotted down, somewhere, that it couldn't be done without seals... hence why, even after improving tobirama's version, minato still couldn't do it without seals. Same for tobirama as seen in recent chapters, anyway.
